Mark Roberts, New Zealand

A typical New Zealand farm house dating back to the late 19th century, 1896 to be precise. It belongs to a friend of mine. Note the disused tennis court out front. In the days before television and other modern entertainment, tennis parties were all the rage in the rural community. 

This is my favourite shot of Dakato, a palamino quarter horse foal. He lives at Halcombe, Manawatu, New Zealand. His owner is an American woman who is married to a New Zealander. Taken with a Zuiko 50-200mm lens at 200mm, which gives a nice defocussing effect to the background.
